Emerald and Diamond Brooch

An 18ct yellow gold ( rhodium plated ) and platinum emerald and diamond set brooch, featuring a large deep green natural rectangular emerald in the centre of scrolled wire work set with a total of 15 Old Mine cut diamonds of various sizes and 30 smaller rose cut diamonds in the main body of the brooch which features a hook so that a later pendant piece featuring a triangular border of 15 single cut round diamonds can be suspended as an additional feature. (Brooch bears makers mark of Child and Child Jewellers, London circa 1860.)
